Dubai is the glittering city of the United Arab Emirates. It is so popular that the UAE as a whole is described as “Dubai”. An important trading hub since its inception, Dubai has rapidly emerged as a cosmopolitan metropolis representing the commercial and cultural hub of the Middle East and the Persian Gulf region. While oil has been the primary industry for trade, Dubai also benefits from tourism as a high income industry. Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, is located in Dubai, and the city is now famous for its tall buildings and skyscrapers. Man-made islands, hotels, and shopping malls add to the appeal of Dubai. It has slowly developed into one of the most expensive cities in the world, and by far the best city to live in the Middle East.

Besides the usual Dubai attractions, such as shopping or taking a city tour, Dubai offers some very interesting attractions. Wild Wadi is one of the largest water parks in Dubai, located between the Jumeirah Beach Hotel and Burj Al Arab. This water park has twenty three rides plus a fake thunderstorm. It’s a great family holiday, a fun day out with friends or even a joint picnic.

The landscape of the park is mostly rock formations and tropical vegetation. This is to give the impression that you are in the Hajar Mountains, with peaks and deep valleys to enhance this visual rejuvenation. All activities take place under the watchful eyes of lifeguards stationed at the games and life jackets are also provided. The rides include the gravity defying Jumeirah Skira, which definitely needs some guts. The Master Blasters is a collection of absolutely amazing water roller coasters. You can take a break by floating on a hoop in the Lazy River before getting back to more action. Breaker’s Bay introduces you to one and a half meter waves. Flow Riders are great for surfing, and the Flood River is great for experiencing the rapids that the moving water creates. Besides these amazing high-adrenaline rides, there are also shallow pools for kids, mini slides, and cool water jets.

This place roughly corresponds to the Disney water parks, and provides a great experience not only because the weather is usually good, but also because there are specials running so that one can avail good discounts for some of the rides in the park.

Without a doubt, it is a place you will leave feeling like you want to come back for more, and Wild Wadi alone makes Dubai worth a visit. So don’t think twice, hop on either Dubai trips And be sure to go wild in the Wild Wadi.
